Plumeria

Plumeria

The Plumeria originally comes from the Caribbean and is now found in tropical areas all over the world. It is also called Frangipani, because the wonderful scent of the Plumeria flowers reminded of the perfumed gloves designed by the Italian nobleman Marquis Frangipani in the 16th century. Time passed by before the plant got its current name from the French Botanist Charles Plumier, who described various types of Plumeria in the 17th century. We mainly know these flowers from Hawaii wreaths. Place the Plumeria in a light, till sunny spot in the house or outside when it is 15 °C or more. The Plumeria rather receives a little too little water than too much, this makes it a very easy plant to care for!
