The Osteospermum (or daisybush) is a special plant; it closes its flowers in the evening and opens them again in the morning. It prefers a sunny spot in the garden and enjoys plenty of room for its roots. Therefore when you buy the plant, ensure to repot it in a larger pot or in a spacious place in the garden. The daisybush is an annual plant and not winter hardy. The plant originates in South Africa and therefore does not like to stand in water. Good to know: a hole in the pot bottom will ensure the plant never gets too much water.
