Cacti originate from Africa, high up on cold mountain ranges in Central America and South America and in the tropical Caribbean. There are hundreds of different species. Most have sharp spines.
Many Cacti are easy to look after, which has made them very popular house plants. They need barely any water and don’t need a lot of light intensity either.
