Instructions for making a flower decoration in a hoop (see the image)

Create a minimalist decoration from dried flowers in a wooden hoop.

You will need:

  • wooden embroidery hoop (any diameter)
  • dried flowers and grasses (e.g. thistles, poppy seeds, cereals, eucalyptus, hydrangea)
  • natural twine, jute or cotton cord
  • scissors

How to do that?

  1. First, choose a wooden hoop - you can dye it or leave it natural to match the flowers.
  2. Choose dried plants with sturdy stems. Choose a combination of flowers and grasses of different shapes and textures.
  3. Tie one end of the string to one side of the hoop and weave it through the hoop several times so that a dense horizontal grid is created at the bottom of the hoop. Tie the other end of the string tightly.
  4. Carefully insert the dried flowers and grasses between the stretched strings. Combine different heights and shapes for a balanced look.
  5. Attach a loop of string or ribbon to the top of the hoop to make it easy to hang on the wall.
